White Rock Iron Products was opened by skilled craftsman Bert Van Oostrum in 1969. From the town of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, Bert came to Canada trained as a blacksmith.
After arriving in Canada in 1957, he started his own ironworks shop.
Originating in White Rock, BC, the company began fabricating handrails, commercial waste containers, ornamental iron gates, and various other steel projects.

Passionate about the industry, Bert passed on his valuable skills and knowledge to his two sons Gordon and Harold Van Oostrum, who have owned and operated the company since 1998.

Celebrating 50 years as a family-owned and operated business we take pride in our longevity and the numerous relationships we have built over the years with our customer, associates, and in our respective communities. Recently, we moved to our new larger location in Delta, BC.
